Let there be LIGHT

Light Box

After allot of blood sweat and tears the light box is finally up and running. Most of the credit goes out to my dad (Chris Shore) he is the one that really helped me out building it (he has all the cool tools).

So what the heck is a light box? Well I’m glad you asked, it’s my new project my new idea of worship art. It all started with a video of Ferenc Cako I found on the Internet I don’t really remember how I found it but as soon as I saw it I was blown away. Cako calls his work “Sand Animation” he tells a story with a light box and sand. What he does is he has a light box that is made of fluorescent lights inside a box with a piece of frosted glass or frosted Plexiglas on top of the box. Then on top of the glass he uses sand to draw/animate his movie. In order to show the images/animation to his audience he has a video camera mounted above the light box that tapes his every move and that video feed is displayed on a large screen via a projector.

I am embarking on a new frontier that I know of only one other person that is currently doing. It is always an adventure when your on the bleeding edge.

The video that started it all

That is such a cool idea. My sister and I just watched the video and are captivated. You should post a video of your own sand worship art!
