Evaluate?
Thursday, May 25th, 2006“To evaluate our lives and labors with living understanding. The very small things are evaluated by God as great. Everything compared to God is very small. There are 100 billion (100,000,000,000) stars in the Milky Way Galaxy. However, God has created over 100 million galaxies in the KNOWN universe (total of 1,000,000,000,000,000). We will never produce something that is big to Him. Our freedom is in seeking to establish something that is great in terms of love. meekness and understanding not in terms of seeking to impress God or men but the biggest of what we build with our hands.”
“Our life is dinamically changed when we have assurance that what we are doing is valuable to God. In other words, we feel powerful when we know that God esteems the way that we spend our life (even if men do not see its value). It is powerful to have confidence that what we do and the sacifice we make matters greatly to God and that he will remember it forever”

Kitchen Cabinets
Friday, May 19th, 2006Yeah our kitchen cabinets are finally here (you probably got that from the title, hopefully) Anyway, we are putting them in soon. Unfortunatly they didn’t send one of the special order cabinets so it will take another 3 wks to get 1 more cabinet! Uhhg. But we can finish most of them. We will just be 3 cabinets shy when we move in. Other than frantically packing things are on schedule. Pictures to follow

For national nurses week the hospital that I work for had a random drawing for tickets to the Indy 500 track to watch pratice. Well I am guessing that maybe no one else entered it or that my luck has finally changed bc I was one of the Rn’s to win the tickets!! It was yesterday. Sorta cold and very windy. It had rained the night before so they dried the track most of the time we were there. After munching on some free food and walking around to see some 1/2 covered parked Indy cars we were about to leave when we heard that sound… an enginie started. Really its an amazing sound of real power and speed. We watched a driver take a few laps - top speed 224 mph. He was basically flying. Now on TV I think it it boring but I have to give props to the car drivers. You should check it out once live- it might create a new respect.
My car has a mind of its own… and it is going crazy
Tuesday, May 9th, 2006
So lately I have developed a respect for power steering. Honestly I never really knew that my car had it until it started forgetting to let me use it. Shame really. Its hard to make turns without it. It sort of turns driving into an extreme sport. I have to always be on my toes. Sometimes when I turn it works 1/2 way through the turn then instantly becomes 50 thousand times harder. I have to dig in and use my bulging arm muscles to finish the turn. Gets the blood pumping, thats for sure. My car has also decided to exercise window lock on me. remember when your little brother keeps rolling the window up and down in the back seat and you click the magic window lock button that takes away his ability to roll up the window? Great button, saved me from much stress. Well what I didn’t know is that my car has a secret one that I can’t get too. You see, I will be driving with my windows down, decide its too cold and try to roll up my windows and they wont go. I guess my car just isn’t ready to have its windows up. Its always a guessing game when my car will use that button. Sometimes the windows work great for several days and then I guess I am just buggin my car like my little brother and just like that car initiated window lock. Bummer.
