Ah hah, name that bug

bug.jpg Warning! This post is not for the faint of heart. We have been seeing this insect with about 14 legs with a long skinny body, with tails coming out both sides. It is about 1 1/2-2 inches long and very vast. SO far it has been on our dinning room wall and bathrrom floor. It looks like a mix between a spider and a centipede. I have lived in old houses my whole life and have never seen it. Last night we captured one to look it up on the internet. It seems that out house is home to a house centipede. Apparently they are very common, and more helpful than harmful. They don’t bite and eat spiders and other bugs. So the mystery is solved. But before I knew I was thinking that we had found a new species.

Going to the chapel …

Wednesday, June 14th, 2006

This weekend I had the honor of being the matron of honor at my good friends wedding, Liz. It was a blast. Liz was beautiful and the weekend just reminded everyone why love is so awesome and important. I am getting sappy now but you know oh well. Anyway look for pics to follow. As the matron of honor I had the responsibility of toasting the new couple. I had something practiced but sorta freaked out towards the end and just wanted to be done. That caused me to accidentally not toast to the bride and groom. I just handed the mic away. Whoops. Maybe next time

Survivng

We have been in our house almost 2 weeks now! It is really hard to believe. At first we felt like we were strangers in someone else’s house-sorta a weird feeling. Now we are getting more used to the sounds and smells and of an old house. To tell one funny story the other day when we were in bed I had to get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night (common occurrence-small bladder syndrome ) Anyway when I was on my way to the bathroom I noticed that a car had its headlights shinning really bright in our bathroom window, then they backed up and I saw tail lights. Then they shined thier lights again. I was pretty freaked out and peaked through the blinds and the car dimmed its lights. At this point I was sure that we had a robber the first night in our new house. I went to wake up Jason who was very out of it. He bravely went window to window and looked outside but said there were no cars with bad guys in site. Needless to say I didn’t sleep to o well. I n the morning I realized that there was a paper in our front driveway. It seems that the delivery person was just checking our house number which happened to be right outside the bathroom window. What a relief and silly story.
