We are mid application process and starting to get excited.Just wanted to let everyone know what the life of a past racer is like and what can happen if no one opens their home. Check out some cute pics and some info at gpaindy.org GPA is a local greyhound rescue group. We will keep you posted on the progress and if we get a dog.

Are we Divided?

Friday, September 15th, 2006

“…Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand.”
Matthew 12:25

I read this today and got to thinking about our nation (kingdom) it seems to me that just about every day there is a story on the news about how Democrats and Republicans are fighting on capital hill. There is always someone talking about this state is a red state, this state is a blue state, and that is a purple state (2004 words of the year). It seems to me that with every day we as a nation become more and more divided. Are we heading from ruins? Where is our current path leading us?

Just a thought, What do you think (leave a comment and tell me what you think)?

Panera- “The place to be”

Thursday, September 14th, 2006

Well today I am working from home….well kinda from home I had to take my car into the shop YUCK it keeps leaking engine coolant (I think that is a bad thing). So I embarked on a journey to good old Big O’s they are ALOT cheaper than the dealership. After taking my car in I decided to go and work at Starbucks so I could utilize what I thought was free Internet only to find out that they don’t have free Internet needless to say I was disappointed but they still suckered me into a large coffee. So I didn’t know what to do because I am lost with out Internet I can’t do anything after all my job is a “Web Developer”. So I started the trek over to Panera Bread which seemed like a good idea at the start but 20 feet down the road I found out why no one walks around Plainfield because they all got ran over by the crazy P-town drivers. Don’t worry I made it to Panera and found a nice chair in the back of the room to start being productive in with their FREE wireless. Just after I sat down I was greeted by a Panera Employee asking if I wanted to try a FREE sample of there souffle (Starbucks doesn’t have souffle) of course I said yes. In the mater of about 5 min at Panera I got FREE Internet and a FREE souffle. If you were counting that is 2 to 0 in favor of Panera (the place to be).
