Thanksgiving Feast

Sunday, November 26th, 2006

This year for Thanksgiving my momma was gracious enough to let Jason and I host the big event for the first time in our new house. It was a blast. We had a great time entertaining everyone and breaking out our fancy china. One of the most exciting things was that Jason fried the turkey in a big outside deep fat fryer. We did a dry run earlier in the week with a chicken (which went great) so he felt pretty confident. The turkey turned out amazing; all golden brown and crispy, and super juicy. We injected it before hand with a garlic butter and wine sauce on one side and Cajun seasoning and OJ on the other with this huge needle. It was great. Here are some pics of the turkey and the day in general courtesy of my dad

Jack O Lantern

This year for Halloween Jason took pumpkin carving to the next level. He carved this crazy face in about 2 hours. This is a real pumpkin. He shaved the side with a peeler and then used various tools, mostly paring knife to create the pumpkins features. Great job.

Moses puts his ears up when he wants to listen. We think he looks like a dear.

This is what he does to be silly and let us know he wants his belly rubbed.

This is what he does most of the time. Chills out.
