Moses’ new bed

Monday, June 25th, 2007

Starting last Tuesday Moses began limping. Being the good dog-parents that we are we took him to the vet and it turns out that he has badly sprained his left little toe. We felt silly because we thought we looked at his toes and they were fine. But when the vet pointed that toe out we could tell that it was swollen. Unfortunately, then the vet gave Moses house arrest and no walks. Needless to say he is really hyper and going crazy. Now the part about the bed. The bed he had was pretty much deflated and when he laid down you could hear a thump because he basically hit the floor. Jason decided that we should get some more cushion if Moses is going to (trying to) be laying around as much as possible for the next 2 weeks. Jason walked down to our local fabric store and spoke with the owner about Moses’ new predicament. The owner offered Jason 2 old couch cushions that were in good condition glued together for 5 bucks. It is awesome. Now Moses sits about a foot off the ground and has the nicest bed every. Here are some pictures.

As you can see he has always liked to use his bed like a reverse pillow: with his body on the bed and his head on the floor. With this new bed it makes it a little harder

Beautiful Lilies

Friday, June 22nd, 2007

I am so excited because this year my tiger lilies (my fav flower) bloomed in full splendor. There were all sorts of splashes of color including peach, yellow, orange, a deep red, and purple. Here are a few samplings of photos. Thanks to G-ma C. as well for supplying most of the lilies with crazy colors from her now retired garden. I am happy to welcome these flowers to mine. And thanks to God for the idea of tiger lilies. They are so pretty!

Thursday, June 21st, 2007

As the title says, we finished the entryway. Jason and Dad finished the tile and then we re-organized the whole living room. It looks awesome.

Time for more bragging. My youngest sibling, David, graduated from high school this past weekend. Way to go Dave: You Rock! We are all very proud of him and knew that he would make it! Here are some pics from his amazing open house. I love you David and we are so happy for you and excited for where you are going. You have the ability to do great things.

Cute little saying isn’t it? Well its not really cute when you don’t listen to it though. Not so much at all.Take my word for it. I was working in my flower garden and thought I was pulling up little oak trees, whoops. You can see the damage below. It turns out that I am pretty allergic to poison ivy and I had to get this cream from my Dr. and use it 2 weeks for it to get better. In fact, almost a month later I still have a couple small spots from the rash. Let me tell you, I will do my best not to forget this saying from now on.

More Hershey Pics

Monday, June 4th, 2007

Hershey, our foster grey has been with us 2 weeks and counting now . She is such a sweet doggie and we are enjoying her company. I am not sure Moses is as much as we are as he acts like the jealous big brother some days. But most of the time they get along and enjoy following each other around. Enjoy the pictures.

Friday, June 1st, 2007

I want to give a shout out to my not so little sister anymore. She turned 21 on May 25th. Here are some pics from her G-rated b-day party at my parents. I am sure she has others from her real party that she loved.

Happy birthday Aimie, I love you. You are the most awesome sister ever and I am glad that you are mine.
