The Call - Rachel’s perspective
This will be the first of many posts about The Call. It was this past weekend on 07/07/07 in Nashville, TN. Over 55,000 people who love Jesus showed up to stand in the gap for the nation. The Call is based out of the bible passage Joel 2 which calls for united, massive, fasting and praying. We prayed, worshiped and fasted for 12 hours to repent as a nation that has turned from God in trust that God would hear us send revival to America. It would be impossible to explain the weekend in totality in one post. I encourage you to go to the official website: http://thecall.com for all the details. This post is mainly to explain what I experienced and felt.
The Call was amazing, exhausting and such a blessing. It was a reassurance that God does move in the land when his people, pure before him, call out the desires of his heart earnestly for Him to move in revival and restoration. How glorious! It was 12 hours of repentance, worship, intercession and re-covenanting ourselves to God. The spirit among us was vivid and moving. People were lifting their hands, solemnly still, praising with dancing, weeping with heavy hearts and crying out with shouts to our Mighty God. The God we were proclaiming and serving was present to hear his people.
Perhaps, never before had I felt so effective and purposeful knowing the spiritual work we were laying was changing the nation. Powerful yet absolutely humbling and frightening. It was a place like none other I had been before, but it was good.
There are going to be more “Call’s” across the nation coming soon. I encourage you to check it out and see how God is moving. If you have any questions or want to hear more please email or talk to us. Blessings.
