Uh-oh Alero
We were on our way home Saturday afternoon, talking about where we should get a frappuccino when things got a little scary.
Jason was driving and we were headed west on 10th street. We were in
the right hand lane approaching a green light when a red car turned left across right in front of us. Jason didn’t have time to stop so he made some evasive maneuvers to avoid T-boning the car (and granny in the back seat). He turned right, missed the car and went up on to the sidewalk, a railroad tie, through a sign and stopped at a fence. Then the other car proceeded to hit our back bumper. Praise the Lord no one was hurt and luckily there was a police officer 2 cars back. The driver of the other car stayed and was very polite.
Even though we were in the wreck It was just so obvious that God was looking out for us for several reasons.
1- That day we had decided to drive Jason’s car, which is older, because mine didn’t have gas (which we never do).
2-We got the estimate from the dealer yesterday and it isn’t totaled. The damage has to be about 70% of the value of the car. Our damage was 60%. We were so thankful because if it was totaled it was unlikely that we
would have gotten enough money to buy another car. So having it repaired (and billed to the other girl’s insurance) is best in this situation.
3- We could have easily hurt someone or have been hurt ourselves. But thankfully all that was damaged was the car.
Over all, it was a interesting situation. Through it all though we could tell that God was taking care of us.
