i too watched the show last night with morbid fascination. alot of it was hard to stomach as i am a bit of a wuss. i felt kind of bad as at first i thought it was very explotitive, but in the end i changed my mind as even though he went through much (being photographed, the video, the government "suddenly" stepping in to help him/save face, etc.) in the end he was a changed man with the possibility of beginning a new life instead of his forseeable death from the disease. i was happy for him. i'd like to see some follow up to see how he is progressing.

I saw the second episode, which shows how the doctors helped him and the results. YOu should track it down, it will make you feel better about the guy. Not to spoil it but he's even getting married again.
