This is the last installment of movies from our trip to Zimbabwe. We hope that you’ve enjoyed seeing the people that we served and learning a little more about our trip. These last 2 clips are interviews of 2 people working hard in Cheridzi, Zimbabwe to make it a better place. Hey Everyone - big news. My sister, Aimie, is engaged to (her super cool boyfriend- now fiance) Chris! Yeah we are so excited. Congratulations you two! The story is pretty fancy - nice job and welcome to the fam Chris. BTY, her ring is gorgeous. Below is a pic of the happy couple. Again we are so happy for you guys and love you tons.

Here are a couple of extras from the trip. The video of the Safari & the opening song the kids sang each day at the VBS.

This video is of the opening song that the kids at the VBS sang each day. There were no words posted or anything and only about 60 of the 500 + kids went to this church so each day the kids would catch on more and more. Its a beautiful song with only voices. This was Jason’s favorite song.

We were fortunate enough to have made some friends that had an in at the local game preserve. We saw some pretty cool animals and just loved riding around in the back of a pick up in the plains of Africa. It was beautiful.

Yeah more Africa footage! Good job. You’ve been very patient. Today’s videos that are posted here are the meat of our trip. The first is of the orphanages that we visited several times and the second is about where we spent most of our trip running a Vacation Bible School.

After a long wait we finally have all our video from Zimbabwe downloaded to You-tube. How exciting I know. There are several videos in the series and we will debut one every couple of days. This first one is a general overview of our trip to Cheridzi. So without further ado,  enjoy the clip.

In honor of the election this week I made election cupcakes. Our small group enjoyed the elephants, donkeys, stars & flags. Good times. And yes - I did them by hand. (Jason mastered the donkeys - they were a little tricky). Three cheers for the USA & of course confection treats. Its good to be free. 

 

I want to send a shout out to my brother Dave -the coolest baby brother ever - who’s turning the big 21 today. Congrats. We hope you have a great birthday. Love you.
