Apple Orchard

Saturday, September 19th, 2009

We made our yearly trip to pick apples at the local orchard and had a great time. We enjoyed climbing trees, the wonderful weather and of course apple cider slushies.

Thanks Anderson Orchard. We had a great time!!

401 Reunion

Sunday, September 13th, 2009

Sunday I went up to my alma mater, Purdue, to visit with the girls I lived with in college. It had been too long since we’d all been together and we had a great time catching up and sharing what’s been going on. We even went and toured the house, “401″, we lived in and sat in our “old” seats. What a fun, fun trip down memory lane.

I had a great time seeing you guys. Love you!!

What we did over Labor Day weekend

Monday, September 7th, 2009

Lately I have been asking Jason to get some new artwork that matches our living room. What we had was really nice, just orange and black which didn’t really match our blue/brown theme. I looked on the Internet and found some paintings I liked which ended up totaling around $600. We didn’t need to do much soul searching to veto that idea quick.

Luckily, I am married to an extremely talented and creative man who was able to make 4 paintings that honestly I feel are better quality than the ones we could buy. We spent Labor day weekend planning, buying, painting (well only Jason painted), making frames and then hanging. The finished product is stunning. I am so proud of Jason – he does amazing work. And bonus we did everything for under $70.
