This year Trunk or Treat was a huge success. We had 400+ pieces of candy when we started and ran out just at the end. (Granted we had some double or triple dippers that kept making it around to our trunk - our candy rocked). Lauren & Aaron brought their dog Axel and dressed him as a lobster. Super cute. Moses wore his pjs when it got colder - giving him the tiger look. Over all we had a great time hanging out at the church, seeing all the cute costumes and passing out candy.

We got to go to Chicago for a couple of days this week thanks to a really cool conference Jason had the opportunity to attend through work. Not only did we get to stay in a super sweet hotel room, we also got to see our family. Nikki, Andy & Jack live in Chicago and we had a ton of fun hanging out with them. Here are some pictures from our day with Jack & Nikki. To see the full album of our adventures click here.

We had a wonderful time at the Nature Museum seeing all the cool exhibits.
I especially liked seeing the butterflies hatch from their cocoons. Amazing.
We had a ton of fun at “Pump it Up” - a local play area kinda like Discovery Zone only 10 times better.
This is Jason’s favorite silly pictures of Jack.
It was hard to figure out who was having more fun … Jack or Uncle Jason?
Thanks Nikki, Andy & Jack for letting us crash your routine and hanging out with us while we were in Chicago. We had a great time. Love you!
The other night after the Colt’s game we got sucked in to this crazy show on TLC about a man called the “Tree Man”. Oh my goodness, it was so freaky. This poor guy in Indonesia suffers from a type of HPV that makes warts grow uncontrolled all over his body but are especially bad on his face, hands & feet. The pictures are unbelievable. I mean, I have never seen anything like it. The show we watched was all about how local & US doctors were collaborating to figure out a cure. Seriously though, it was so curious but hard to watch. Curious yet? Here is a little video about it. Warning: its not for the faint of heart.

We visited one of our favorite Museum’s last weekend, the IMA, with Aimie & Chris. Its just a fun place to walk around and admire amazing talent. We also enjoyed the yummy creations of Puck’s restaurant. Click here to check out the IMA website for more info. Here is a sample of what we saw if you can’t make it yourself.
It turned out to be a beautiful day. We got some good pics out in the garden.
Thanks Aimie & Chris for hanging out with us. We had a great time.
Drum roll please …………………………………………………………………..
I know you are totally pumped to hear that Sonic has officially come to our humble neighboring town of Avon, Indiana! Oh and it is so yummy. We went there the other night to get a Slushie.
They also have shakes, sundae’s & of course a whole slew of tater tots & hot dogs. So far I give it 2 thumbs up.
I am sure that it is super bad for you … but look on the bright side the waitresses roller-skate your food to your car. Could it be any cooler, seriously?
I don’t think so.
We saw a great movie this past weekend called Fireproof. It was made by the same church that created Facing the Giants. It was a great, encouraging, Christan film and I would urge you to check it out for yourself.

We made our annual visit to Anderson Orchard last weekend to pick apples. It was a wonderful day - sunny and warm. The apples were totally yummy and ripe. Jason was able to get his favorite apple cider ever at the store and we enjoyed apple cider slushies on site. Over all it was a wonderful day. If you live around the area we encourage you to visit this beautiful orchard. Check out their website for more details http://www.andersonorchards.com/main.php
This year we went a little earlier and were pleasantly surprised with how many apples were left on the trees. Usually, we have a bad habit of going too late.
Smiles all around. We had a great day at the orchard!
